Hi Longrodangler

The rod used was a 17 foot 11 inch 10/11 Carron rod, the rod used back in the day was a 21 footer.

Travis Johnson 2nd place, Gerard Downey 1st place W.R., James Chalmers with the Winning Rod Manufacturers trophy for Carron Rod & Case Company.

James Chalmers.

A very BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Gerard and to Travis. Setting a new world record for Gerard was tremendous. He just keeps getting harder to reach every year. Travis's second place showing in his first 18' comp was superb. He has come a very long way in a short time. He will be scary good next year.
Way to go guys, you did real good!
