Boise Spey Clave?

Have any of you heard of the Boise Spey Clave? Is it affiliated with Spey pages and The Spey Claves that it sponsors? Here is their webpage that I came across: w ww.SpeyClaveBoise.com

Any thoughts?

It's a fun little Conclave that is in its infancy. Gotta give props to Michel, he has worked hard to get it together and is a great guy and instructor. Good folks and great chance to try some stuff out. Not anywhere the Sandy or Clearwater league, but it's fun. One year I think it was running the same time as the Fat Tire bike thing...two-handers, beer, & bikinis...

I lived in Boise for eight years, in fact I still have family that lives there. Where is it held? Julia Davis? By the way ....... For any of you spey fisherman out there in Boise ...... Does anyone out there know a guy by the name of Justin Vitley. I wondered if he got into the Spey thing yet. Dave

Is this just another excuse for me to buy more rods ?

I saw Michael Bantam in April while we in Boise and he told me it was a go. I will be there.

How you get the line out and fishing is personal preference so as long as it works and is easy no one should care but the caster. MSB

Thanks everyone for your interest in SpeyClaveBoise.com . The website is being updated with all the info about the Clave. Should be up by the end of the week.
It is a small Clave but the charactors showing up to do domo's are the BEST at what they do. Mr. Mike Kinney has been more than a mentor for me, I think of him as a big brother. And Poppy, he is the one who has been encouraging me to go the distance, in my casting and in life's pursuits. And the tyers that attended last year will be here again to demonstrate their craftsmanship and traditional techniques. Dr. David Burns charm is tied into every fly, and Jeff Wimer who continues the traditional patterns and history of materials. It is because of people like these, (well known, and not) that SpeyClaveBoise came to be. Casting the SPEY should mean more than just catching fish. Tradition, craftsmanship, education and resource values are pasted on to the next generation from those who have waded before use.
The date is August 28, 2010. located in Ann Morrison Park the North West corner from 9 to 5. The website is www.SpeyClaveBoise.com Thanks for your support.
