New England Area Claves?

Hey All,

I'm pretty new to the community and am looking to go to my first clave. Anyone know of any ones in or around New England?

Adam

There was one on the Farmington River in CT. Not sure if they still do it. Call Upcountry or better yet call Tight Lines in NJ. The gang at Tight Lines seems to have its finger on the pulse in the North Eastern U.S. and will most likely have an answer.

Looks like Spey Nation is having a clave in June on the Salmon River after a year off.

There is one held each year in May in Sherbrooke, QC. that I have been attending for a few years. The only downside is that most of the demos are in French, however just about everyone speaks English, and will talk to you in English. It is a 2 day event with many major rod companies participating. It is heavily attended by folks from the Gaspe region of Quebec.
It cost $10 per day which includes a nice lunch. One of the local motels gives a discount for attendees, and many of the demonstrators, and sponsors stay there. Google Sherbrooke Spey Clave for more info.

You can catch a lot of fish, and you can keep a lot of fish. But you can't do both very long. Jim Timmins

That one hasn't run in a few years however, a few folks got together and held one in London ON. it was small but for the first year there was a great turnout. Ton of fun.

Do you know if there will be another in Ontario in 2019... if so can you send a link?

I suggest you sign up for the Spey Ontario on Facebook. The big dude was trying to set up something for a day but has postponed it to try and get some more participation from reps and such. If I see something I will definitely post something.
