Trying to keep everyone informed of some developments in our world. Sorry if you've seen it several times already but I think it's important since many have asked about what is going on so they can make plans.
To Our Valued Friends,
Spey Nation in it's current event format, is taking a year off in 2018.
Thank you, our great friends who we have known over the past 10 years, and those new friends who we have met just recently. You have made Spey Nation events the special occasions that they have become. Without your participation, attendance and support at the raffle tables, Spey Nation would not have grown over those years into the organization it has become which is well beyond our wildest expectations.
The small army of dedicated volunteers have tried to do what we thought was best for our beloved fishery and the Spey Nation brand while supporting the organizations who share common goals. Together over the last decade, we have collectively tried to change the culture of the river had meaningful discussions about conservation, catch and release, stream side etiquette and what's good for the fishery.
Through all of our efforts, we have been able to support another fishery returning Atlantic Salmon to Fish Creek where development had wiped out an entire population. Congratulations, you are all the proud parents of over 1 million baby salmon swimming in Fish Creek and Oneida Lake.
Spey Nation as a grass roots organization is not going away, we are going to take this valuable time to continue to improve and support those who promote spey fishing, steelhead and salmon sustainability, and work to make our corner of Spey Nation better.
Thank you very much for your past and future support,
