Island Play Day

For anyone on Vancouver Island this Coming Sunday Nov.16th we are having a small gathering for Spey Casters on the Englishman River in Parksville from 10AM to 1PM or longer . Come by and have some fun...(toys on hand)water might be a bit high so bring your waders...the focus will be on good rod/line matches and managing aerialized loops and the forward stroke.
If you have anymore question please PM me

Wish I could make this one, Courtney...These informal Spey gatherings are a great time and everyone always leaves with a smile...
Have fun! And take a few pics for us...

New Lines

Hey Toolman,
Yeah these are great gatherings..have a few new lines we will be casting and a few new sticks...have some new shooting lines that cut the learning edge for newbies greatly.
BTW...The River is full of Chum at the moment...have you ever tried to teach some casters with too many fish about that snag up you line with no hook...did it last year ,sort of pissed me off a bit...so we simply stopped the class and began to fish...we soon had a few newbies realizing the benefits of a Two Hander!

I know what you mean...The new location we have been using sucks for fishing, so that the focus remains on trying out different rods, lines, casting technique etc. Soon as the fish show up, the Spey party's over...
