Clearwater Spey Clave #4...

The 4th annual Clearwater Spey Clave is now history. I'm not sure of the total attendence but "Ollie" and crew cooked over two hundred burgers.

I would like to thank everyone that attended. Without you there would be no event.

I would also like to thank my demo casters and fly tiers. You guys put on a great program.

I would like to thank the tackle reps and the companies they represent for being there with the latest and greatest and for donating tackle for door prizes including 3 rods.

Last but certainly not least I would like to thank my family led by Mrs. RedShed for all the hard work that it takes to make the Clearwater Spey Clave the successful event that it is.

Sept. 26, 2009 is the date for Clearwater Spey Clave #5. I hope to see you there.

How you get the line out and fishing is personal preference so as long as it works and is easy no one should care but the caster. MSB

This was my first time at the Clearwater Clave and will not be my last. Making plans to attend next years gathering. The quality of the Clave is consistent with the quality of any Red Shed experience. Top Notch!! Thanks to all who made this a very enjoyable time.

Fished the Clearwater, beautiful river. As usual fish didn't like what I offered.

Great day, but no fish!

Many thanks to Poppy and his family, and all of the demonstrators and factory reps. It was a fine day!

This had to be an expensive day of Redshed, not to mention the time taken for planning the event. I want to encourage all of you to look to Poppy for your next purchase. I have gotten three rods, two reels, lines, and accessories from Poppy and have always been very satisfied with not only the price, but the exceptional service and guidance Poppy has given.

Maybe next time the Clearwater will give up at least one steelhead.

Thumbs up Tough to leave...

Thank you to Poppy and Linda and their help on this years Clave Campaign!!!

I have to say, I look forward to this event every year. This year was a perfect opportunity to catch fish as the numbers were huge compared to last year. All we needed was a little more weather. From what I heared a lot of guys caught fish, but, alas it was not to be for me.

'bout the only thing I caught was my lip and my scalp with a #10 double. Yeah, down stream wind + single spey (dammit I know better) + wicked tired from all the fishing + anxious to get a fly in the slot = SON OF A...

Lots of bumps & bites...and I fell in love with a new DC 11' Switch. Now just to figure out how to pay for it. Any one need a kidney? $400 shipped to your door in CONUS, money back if not satisfied...anyone...anyone?

Thank you!!

Thank you Poppy, Linda and everyone else involved in this great event!! This was my second time over there and despite the slow fishing for us, it was awesome!

Can't wait for next year! I may need some more cookies before then though and need to get over to fish the area more often!

You couldn't ask for a better place to try new gear or learn new flies, etc. etc. etc. Thanks Poppy. Plus the river let me touch one really nice strong hen and also paid me back with errant wind-aided owner stinger in the arse

Thank you Poppy, Linda, Dale, Tracey, and the whole Cummins crew that made this such a great event.

A special thanks to Mike Parson's....this man rolls up his sleeves when the work needs to be done.....he would put a 20 year old to shame with his work ethic.

Each year it just keeps getting better and better. But what makes this trip so special to me is the friends that I fish with and the friends that I go to see....

Thank you to all my made this the best trip yet.

Ditto. Clave was fantastic and the work done by the Red Shed crew was first class. Incredible trip with many great friends.

Looking forward to next year!

Unhappy Just got home yesterday

The trip was supposed to include Poppy's Spey Clave. As well as a two week stay at Clearwater Crossing RV park. But it was not to be. We had one thing after another go bad on us. Finally, just called it quits and came home. Hope to make it next year.

I fish because the voices inside my head tell me to.
