Knut Syrstad won spey competition in Norway

Knut Syrstad won Burud open spey competition in Norway. The competition rules was like the first year spey-o-rama, single spey from right and left with 15' rods, standing in the water. Lots of good casting

164 feet?

Knut's rights side cast is 50 (?) on the Final round.

Is this (?) meters?

Wow, that converts to 164 feet.

What rod and line was he using?

Congratulations, Knut!

That is terrific casting, and against an all-star field.

We look forward to seeing you at Spey O Rama 2009, April 17 - 19, 2009.

From all the folks at the Golden Gate Angling and Casting Club, San Francisco.

Not familiar with LTS

Who makes the LTS? (Found my answer- Loop)

Also, the 95' carron- wondering what length did he cut to.

Thanks for the info by the way.

Congradulations to Knut Syrstad. 50 meters was a long cast. A few years ago at CLA, 50 meters would rank top three spots for a 18' pole game.

And also congradulations to the other top 6: Eirik H. Larsen, James Chalmers, Gordon Armstrong, Mathias Lilleheim and Geir Hansen. What a show for your guys. qualify at least 89 meters /2 = 44.50meter = 146 feet average. That was a high bar.

Gordon and Geir: if you could maintain the leading scores in qualify round (93 meters), you could co-champian with Knut .

My hands are getting itch.... now.
