Attend North America's premier Spey casting event at no charge. It is hard to imagine that one can enjoy two or three days of entertainment in San Francisco for free, watching and learning from recognized masters, one of Golden Gate Park's idyllic settings. See some of the world's greatest two-hand casters compete in tough, challenging conditions. Deep water, limited rod length, back cast obstructions and often swirling winds make this one tough event.
Friday April 17 - Sunday April 19, 2009
for details. There will be a terrific group of casters including Gordon Armstrong, Greg Bencivenga, Ruairi Castello, James Chalmers, Frank Chen, Lee Davidson, Gerard Downey, Simon Hsieh, Ian Gordon, Travis Johnson, Jyunya Kitahara, Bruce Kruk, Tyler Kushnir, Kazuta Nezu, Naoaki Nii, Nobuo Nodera, Gene Oswald, Stener Skogmo, Brian Styskal, Matt Suzuki, Andrew Toft, Tim Warriner, Hiroshi Yazaki, Amy Hazel, Donna O’Sullivan, Siv Anita Eide, Whitney Gould and Mia Sheppard. It is a pleasure to welcome back the Carron Team, a world-class group of athletes and raconteurs who will show us what those Carron lines and rods can do.
Saturday night's dinner will be a Hawaiian luau with hula dancers. This has been a special treat in past SORs and returns by popular demand, especially from those that have been spending too much time in the woods!
