2016 Grand River Spey Clave

Good evening all, the 2016 Grand River Spey Clave is scheduled for
September 17 & 18 at the Brant Park Conservation Area.
The Clave committee is working on the details.
Please PM me if you have any questions.

Steve.

When they go fishing, it is not really fish they are after. It is a philosophic meditation. ~E.T. Brown

Good evening folks, the Grand River Spey Clave poster is at the printers and should be at the local shops in a few days.
Please let me know if you require more information about the event.

Cool. Hoping to attend this year. Will just be coming back home after a fishing trip near Thessalon at that time, but I'm going to try and make a day.

I plan to attend the Spey Clave this year and am loooking forward to it. I will be the bloke waggling about the bamboo rod..

Reelmaker Wayne Petrevan will be there showing his spey reels.

Also of interest offered by Friends of the Fly (along with the Spey Clave), is a pre-season steelheaders 'retreat' and fishing on the Grand. Great price for cabin accomodation and meals for two nights at the end of September, $220 CDN. It ran last year, my place is booked already.

Damn I still won't be able to make it this year, I am getting married that day. We did include fly fishing into the wedding theme though so I won't be so deprived haha.

Actually, it was me... But yes, Rob is good "people", he runs the show at Drift and is a wealth of information.

It was nice meeting you Josh, let me know when you want to get together and tie some flies.

Sorry Marky! Just made an assumption and wanted to put in a plug for Rob and the shop. My bad.
