True, you do get some funny looks. I was practicing this fall on the white river and you should have scene some of looks I got...I am sure my casting and bright yellow loop rod didn't help....I have never been to clave before, but they look like a lot of work or preparartion.. Perhaps a Mini Clave on the Salmon on December 15th? Atleast share some ideas, and get a few pointers. Oh and maybe even hook a chromer!

Sure. I'm in for anything.

DSR would be a good location for some kinda shindig. How do these things get organized? Should we talk with Greg Lui at Whitaker's? See if they are up for sponsorship or something?

Put some dates out that could work.

Get the ball rolling put some possible dates out and lets see who is available to get out and play. The DSR is a great place and if contacted maybe they would lower the rates for those there participating the gathering. I know I'm dreaming on lower rates for the day.

Forgive my ignorance

What or where is DSR? I'd be up for something spey in the spring as I am about to have low back surgery next week and hopefully will have recovered by next spring.
A striper spey clave in Mass would be nice -- a bunch of us new Maine spey casters could come as a group probably.
Juro, will your group have a booth at the Marlboro show since the Wilmington show is cancelled?

The DSR, Douglsaton Salmon Run is on the Salmon River in NY.....NY, ME, Stripers...why not all three...we need to step up the Spey activity on the east coast...the more I spey, the more my single hand rods feel like a spinning rod....

YEP !!
Bouquet, Ausable and especially the Saranac .The Saranac even has an 'Unofficial official" rotation system.
Cheers

Don't sweat the bad casts for they sometimes bring you fish

The Saranac

The mouth of the Saranac River has plenty of space. The river has a run, albiet fairly small, of landlocked salmon plus it's resident population of trout. Somewhat centrally located to boot.

I'm in

It will be nice to see Juro again, put faces to names, and especially get some more instruction. Now if I can just schedule it around work as I have the Michigan Spey Clave, it would be great. I'm for anywhere in the NE area, Salmon River and east, but I will drive to the Michigan one again. It was worth the 10 hour drive.
