Just got confirmation from Poppy at the Red Shed that Al Buhr, fresh off the publication of his great new spey book, Two-Handed Fly Casting, will be at the Clearwater Spey Clave on Sept. 23, demo casting and available to sign both his new spey book and his line design book, How To Design Fly Lines.

Pretty cool.

With the addition of Al Buhr, Leroy Teeple, Bob Meiser, Olga and Roman Koran, Simon Hsieh, and fly tyers like LeRoy Hyatt (not to mention an expanded barbeque, more varieties of Mrs. Red Shed's famous homemade cookies, more reps and more products) the Clearwater Clave, in only it's second year, is becoming a not-to-be-missed, first class spey event in the PNW and northern Rockies.

If this keeps up, Mike is going to have to expand it to two days in 2007.

Fine by me. More fun for everyone. Lots of room on the Snake, Grande Ronde and Clearwater for swinging flies before or after the clave, always keeping in mind the possibility of a "B" run biggie.
