Day on the River with the new CND Rods

I am finally back from fishing and it is time to get the new rods out there! I am planning two days on the river with the the new GT's.

For the Vancoiuver region I will be on the Squamish River at the Judd Road access in Brackendale on November 7th. For the Seattle area I will be on the Skykomish River at Ben Howard Park on Saturday November 14th. Both sessions will start at 9:30 AM and continue as long as there are casters.

I hope to see you there.

Tom, I have added 100 gr to my line. While it is not yet perfectly tuned it casts pretty decently. And yes if the Sky is blown too badly we can easily shift to Lake Tye.

Hi folks,

Due to some extreme weather conditions around Vancouver this weekend I am postponing tomorrow's Day on the Squamish. That is a dangerous highway and in these conditions it is foolish to go up there just to try to cast in the wind. Instead I am going to push my whole schedule back a week. Next Saturday - the 14th - I will be at Judd Road on the Squamish and the following Saturday - the 21st - I will be at Ben Howard on the Skykomish. Both sessions will still begin at 9:30 AM. Sorry for any inconvenience - but safety first. I hope you can all make the adjustments.

Damn. I am pretty sure that the big bad-ass Storm God hates me. This Saturday looks to be as bad, if not worse than last Saturday. Sunday looks better so I am moving the Day on the Squamish to this Sunday the 15th - still at 9:30.

Sorry for the changes, but these things are pretty useless if the conditions suck. Hope to see you there.

The Skykomish day is still slated for Saturday the 21st.

Extreme weather conditions are not all. .. Due to the sudden passing of a close family member I will not be able to be at Ben Howard on the Sky this Saturday the 21st .

However, I am determined to get out onto the river with the GT rods! I hope to do this on the following Saturday November 28th. Sorry for the changes... Stay tuned for confirmation.

Hey Tyler,

I just wanted to thank you for putting that "day on the river" together. It was awesome being able to try out the new CND rods, visit with friends and even get some fishing in! And to top it off, the weather couldn't have been better!

Cheers

More than the river in flood will keep me away from the Sky this Saturday the 21st... I will be at funeral of a close family member this Saturday...

As the next weekend is essentially Thanksgiving I will leave it to family time ?. Instead, so long as the river god cooperates I will bring the rods out on Saturday December 5th - finally! We will start at 9:30 AM at Ben Howard on the Skykomish. As a bonus Brian Styskal will be there with a bunch of Nextcast lines to try as well. See you there.
