Clearwater Spey Clave

It has been awfully quiet here - is nobody going to Poppy's Clave next week? I am psyched as I am going to introduce the new CND GT rods, but it is way more than that! Hanging out and camping with friends and the fishing... I can't wait.

Think I'll get there on Thursday and stay as long as the boss/wife will allow. I'm dying to try some of the comp rods that are rumored to be there.

Long way to travel if you live on the other side of the country, but would love to go sometime. From everything I read it's a great gathering.

Will be there on Tuesday. Floating with a guide on Thursday and staying awake all night Friday waiting for Saturday. Can hardly wait to fondle some bamboo.

'Depends. I love the Clearwater Clave and CND rods. But the region is faced with unusual (fortunately) climactic conditions. I don't want to drive all day to find an empty river again. I'll need to hear some promising fishing reports first.

Nooksack Mac, not sure what you mean by unusual climatic conditions, but I caught a small A-run fish last night on the lower Clearwater. Sept. is a hit or miss month on the river and 2-3 fish days are highly unusual even during the peak run ( oct. nov.).I will stop in to check out the cnd rods for sure Kush! Tom

I got a very nice B run this evening. I'm fishing all this week. I didn't even know the clave was going on and I was planning on leaving Friday but I may have to stay an extra night and check things out.
