Exclamation Cattaraugus Clave - Weather Issues

Rain is just rain but lightning is another issue.

If we are unable to do demonstrations and lessons under the bridges (Aldrich for example) then I move that we reduce the conclave to a full day on Sunday only.

There is simply no excuse for waving long graphite wands in any kind of thunderstorm.

Please reply with thoughts as time is important.

Those familiar with the area... please reply on the topic of bridges providing cover.

I agree totaly. the bridge is only a two laner so it's not too wide. plenty of room for thirty people or so. i believe it is high enough to cast .

Thanks Nick!

Is it wadeable under the bridge for the demonstration segment of the clave? (how deep?)

When you say plenty of room for thirty, I am sure you mean thirty listeners and one presenter. This is plenty of room, thanks for the great suggestion to use this location.

We can 'set up' under the bridge and fan out as weather permits.

It's not a good idea to be out under lightning, but graphite rods are not an issue.
