Nor'Easter Spey Clave - May 22nd

Topher Browne and I are proud to confirm the 2004 Nor'Easter Spey Clave to be held at Sewalls Falls on the Merrimac River in New Hampshire on May 22nd, all day. Tentative Agenda:

10:45am - 11:15 : (Hands-on) Free instruction, warm up for experienced casters, analysis, rod testing, etc.

11:15 - 11:45 : (Presentation) Underhand vs. Upperhand Technique, Topher Browne

11:45am - 12:15 : (Hands-on) Free instruction, warm ups for experienced casters, rod testing, etc.

12:15am - 12:45 : LUNCH and group discussion

2:15p - 2:45p : (Hands-on) Free instruction, warm ups for experienced casters, rod testing, etc.

2:45p - 3:15p : (Group) Wrap-up Discussion at the river

3:30p - 5pm : Video Analysis of Ourselves Casting (restaurant function room nearby in Concord TBD)

5pm - group dinner at restaurant (gets us the free use of function room)

> We expect several manufacturers to be in attendance so if you don't already have a two-hander just show up and you'll be all set to try some out.

> You should bring waders and other appropriate sun protection.

> Directions to Sewalls Falls: Sewalls Falls Multi-recreational Area is located on the Merrimack River in the northern part of Concord. From downtown Concord, travel north on Main Street and continue on North State Street (Route 3). Bear right at the first fork onto Sewalls Falls Road, passing the Beaver Meadow School on the right. At a second fork near the Beaver Meadows Golf Course, bear right, staying on Sewalls Falls Road. On the right, watch for signs for the Sewalls Falls area, just before the bridge that crosses the Merrimack. From I-93, take Exit 15 West. At second set of lights, turn right (north) onto North State Street (Route 3). Continue with directions from downtown Concord (above).

Up to 8 people so far... please sign up if you can attend this. It's a lot harder to track attendance by word of mouth. Thanks!

40% is pretty much zero in my book not even reason to get the gear out of the bag wish I could make it out.

Juro,

Hopefully you got my voicemail regarding places to meet up and eat (with a banquet room) after the event. If the Common Man did not work out then I can recommend more places if you let me know that you are looking for a place.

I wish I could be there but I will be on South Beach with Jeff B. I have a date with a cow or two.

Have fun,

Mike
