Andy Zwan (fish head on the board) gave me the clue why fishings is the thing, not catching on the upper Rogue.
1300 some summer runs through the counter and zip (other than a fall cnk) to show for it. Hatchery guy says of the 1300 some, 1000 are already in the hatchery. Darn and double darn. But answers the why.
Understand Dam guys will be lowering the flow from 1800 cfs to 1200 or less next weekend. This should really slow up the fish and improve the hood ups.

Quickie update. Water flow will be cut from 1800 cfs to something in the area of 1200 or less on Sept 10th. In perspective this is at least a 1/3rd reduction in flow. Fish chugging up stream in good numbers and the flow reduction will greatly improve both the fishing ... and the catching.
