Dana, you've probably had this tossed at you several times already but would you consider putting on one of your class' in either Southern Washington or Northern Oregon. Many of us would love to attend your Canadian class but logistics (not the cost) prohibit us attending.
Perhaps the class in conjuction with the 2nd Spey Clave on the Sandy in May?

Stand in line Fred, he's coming to Southern Ontario first. Dana, I'll be in your Grindstone Angling course - looking forwad to it.
BTW Fred, like Steve says, don't move that stripper guide - you'll get to like it.

Hi Fred and Peter!
Fred, while I'd love to attend the Sandy Clave, unfortunately it falls at a bad time for me. It would be great to come along and meet everyone, just to hang out , talk spey casting and jam a little. And I'd love to offer some clinics/schools Stateside, but immigration is a little ticklish about Canadians taking work away from qualified US citizens.
Peter, I'm really looking forward to the June school. It will be great to meet, work with and learn from Great Lakes steelheaders! I'm particularly interested in discovering which casting styles have been most influential there and which methods have evolved specific to your casting/angling situations.

Since no one else seems to be available...If you can round up a group of interested spey nuts, i would be more than happy to conduct a class down in your area...I've taught for Mark Bauchman, and M/Y in BC, the next of which will follow Danas class in april...see the M/Y site for more info, and several other smaller groups...I have about 15-20 rods that people could test out...some prototype lines, as well as many other commerically available lines...I have been practicing my single handed spey casting, so even if there isn't a full class of doubles, it might be a way to transition the single handed casters....If i can be of help, let me know...

Steve, I didn't know you worked with Mark (great guy and he loves my credit card) and/or gave lessons..... other than the one you gave everyone at the 1st Clave. Hoy!!! Suspect that a considerable number of folks would be interested in this type of class particularly if it could be co-timed with the Clave in May.
Don't want to go overboard on the board, so shoot me an e mail at [email protected]

Steve and Fred
I'm new to this community but I wanted to say that I'd be interested in attending a spey casting class in Oregon or SW Washington area. Once you see me cast you'll understand why. I plan on attending the Sandy Clave also. You name the time and I'll be there.
Let me know

Welcome to the group. As a novive caster myself, let me say that you will learn tons of information and observe more methods at the Sandy Clave than you can swing a rod at!
Come by our trailer and introduce yourself.

Don't say it, Fred. Mike, that should have read noviCe caster.
Tight lines, Bob

Bob, not to worry for it is I who lives and dies by the spell checker. After telling you about the trip to the auto dealership this afternoon I'm not going to set myself up for bombardment.
