Found several good buys on discontinued Hardy reels and was interested in information on one in particular. It is a 11/12 Hardy Sovereign.I have heard good things about the new Sovereign 2000 but was wondering if anyone had any info on the Sovereign model.Would it be a good choice as a spey reel?Anyone know the weight of the reel?

I used a Hardy Sovereign 11/12 for a couple of years as a spey reel. I ended up selling it to a friend several years ago and he still uses it as one. AND, he fishes a lot more than I do and is still thrilled with it. The reel seemed to be very well made, and is certainly one of the nicest looking reels Hardy has ever put out. The listed weight was 11oz..
