Thank you Hans, for mentioning the Otter Hengelsport website .........

The URL you mentioned was the Dutch pages, with prices in Dutch guilders and EURO for our local market.

I have just finished my international pages, with some very nice offers on last years Sage rod, blanks and occasions. At the same pages you will find ordering and postage methods. And also our very competative prices on LOOP and SA SYSTEM 2(L) fly reels.

Just visit : http://home.wanadoo.nl/otter.hengelsport/zindex.htm

Although some time has past since this post, the prices at Otter Hengelsport look real good.  Question:  Has anybody on this board had business dealings with this firm out of the Netherlands?

Thanks

Just a cautionary note. Loop reels (or rods) not purchased in the US are not eligible for the Loop USA warranty program. That means that any repair would have to be returned to the country where it was purchased. Also, generally speaking the European warranty is one year so get it in writing if a longer time period is claimed. Of course, if you save enough money (maybe $100.00 or more) it might be worth it anyway, but Loop's 5 year US warranty is one reason why US prices are higher.

Thanks, J.R.; enough said.

Yes the savings were substantial at $150-plus, but the headache regarding warranty service between shores just bites.  I'll just stick to my usual suspects here at home.  ...unless of course someone knows of any sweet deals on Loop reels elsewhere in the states.
