Took the big Daiwa down to the Whirlpool this morning and ended up loosing 4' to 5' of the tip of my Rio 300 sinktip to a rock.  It isn't a 300 anymore.  Anyway, it's a bit light for the Daiwa and the belly is way too short.  I know that my 9/10/11 is going to be marginal for the Daiwa and I'm now short a sinktip so I was planning on cutting back the tip on the 9/10/11 and adding a sinktip.  I'm looking at either a 300 grain Rio Big Boy DC 24' sinktip or a 15' Type 6 in a 12 wt.
Sound reasonable?
