Haven't used the 24' or dregger (sp?) tips. Looking at using them on the Sage 1015-4 or 9140-4 rods. Group experience with them? Fred |

I use the 200 grain on my 9/10/11 windcutter and Dec Hogan/Fly Logic 13' 8wt. Believe it or not, I don't usually remove the middle section. I just remove the tip and then loop on the 24'er. It throws nice and really gets down. The belly isn't that long. When I use the 300 grain, I remove the mid section (and tip) because it gets too heavy for my rod. I haven't found much use for the 150 grain. It seems the 15 footers do about the same thing. I haven't really experimented with it much yet though. |

I have the standard Windcutter 9/10/11 that I'm considering cutting back 15' and looping on a 24' Dredger, probably a 200 grain for my 13'6" 9 wt. and for the future, perhaps a 500 grain if I decide to spring for Daiwa's 15'6" 11 wt. What have you found to be the typical running depth for the 200? Peter |
