Can anyone tell me how much 30# Micron or something similar it will take to fill up a Hardy Marquis #2 salmon reel behind a 9/10/11 Windcutter?

I filled up a Hardy Salmon #2 with 241 yards regular 30 pound backing with a 10/11 Accelerator as the line and it fit just about perfect although I maybe could have added 20 yards more of backing, but nonetheless good enough.  If you're using micron(ite?) backing that is 30 pound I would imagine with it's thinner diameter that you could put some serious backing yardage on that badboy (do you really need that much backing?). The 30 pound backing I mentioned was dacron backing off of the bulk spool by the shop. Hope this gives you some idea??

Scott K, Thanks for the info. No I don't need all that backing but like the reel full. I was using the Micron as a reference point. The backing I'm getting will be in connected 100 yd spools and I wasn't sure how many to buy. You've answered my question very well.
