Wonderful!! A Spey Clave in "jolly 'ol;" Mark B. is setting up Clave #1 on our side of the pond so he can/should be able to give you a hundred tips and such. If you check the old Spey Clave threads you should get more than a few ideas.
We had over 100 folks at the first; suspect the second will be as big a success.

Where would you be holding the Spey Clave in the U.S. What time of year, and would there be any fishing.

Perhaps over stepping here but yes, there will be a '2'nd annual Spey Clave' in May on the Sandy River just east of Portland, Oregon in May. Mark B. is/has doing the ground work (his contribution last year was HIGHLY COOL) for 2002. Check out the "spey clave' threads or contact Mark direct at his web site. Great fly tackle store, good prices, delivery as advertised, etc., and I don't get a cent for saying so.

I keep thinking that the Bulkley valley in September would be a perfect venue for a speyclave, since so many spey fishers are up there anyway. Anybody up there considered hosting such an event?

Got to agree that the Buckly would beat the Sandy any day ..... other than folks being able to access the location (and in/out in a few days). But a Spey Clave 2002.1 does have a nice ring to it.

Well, '" jolly old Spey Clave" does have a certain ring to it; just not sure who would answer the door. Just kidding, as where you are, is where "it" all started. Do you Guys have any idea how much money this has cost me???? One more example of King George 'doing' the colonies? Any idea how many of the bretheren (spey rod wise) are on the board, or perhaps, are aware of the board?
