I have played with all three of the Redington 2Hand rods,(I'm on their Pro Staff). IMHO, the 12.5' 7wt is hopeless as a speyrod- It barely loads with a DT10 line. The 13' 8wt is pretty sweet with a DT9 or DT10, & does a nice job of punching AirFlo Polytips when needed.
The 14'Model is the smoothest of the lot, but it's waaaay too powerful for typical midwst steelies.
Tom Steele of SteelheadSite is considering a get-together this fall where anyone with spey tackle could try other peoples' tackle, & maybe get a feel for a new rod before dropping the big $$$$'s.
Contact Tom if interested

Silverdoc,

Thank you for your input.

Will get a chance to try them for my self but the reports I have gotten seem much like yours.

Will have to agree with the Reddington Pro staff member, the 13' 8 is the only rod that I have cast and its "sweet'.
