I didn't get out much (slave to academia that I've been), but it's starting to sound like I didn't miss much (not meaning to imply that the sole point of steelheading is to hook fish, of course). I haven't heard many great reports--heck, I've hardly heard any reports at all! What's up? Lazy fish? Late fish? Slow fish?...No fish?
Or am I just outta the loop?

(Sorry for the multiple one word posts above. Not sure why it does that automatically.)
Maybe some of the other members have had better luck but it has been a dismal spring for me. Last year I was averaging around a fish every 9 hours during March and April. This year a total of four fished hooked in 18 times out (at least 6 of these were full day floats). The fish just haven't come in in good numbers. The Sky has fished the best of the Sky, Sauk, Skagit trio but it is nowhere near normal. I have heard the Stilly has put out a few fish also. Hopefully they are just ate and maybe we can find some when the rivers reopen on June 1.
Hoping for some summer runs!
