It is with great sadness
Megan Boyd passed away on Thursday the 15th. of November and was buried on Monday the 19th. Maegan was 86 years old. She spent her life tying Salmon flies, and was responsible for teaching many great tyers of our day ( Ron Alcott, Joe Bates, Colin Simpson to name a few) Anyone wishing to know more about Megan only needs to read Joe Bates books on Salmon Flies. She will be missed by many

Saw this message from Willie Gunn on another board. Understand Megan was a Master of Masters. She, and her art - which is what it was - will be missed my all.
Great sadness for all.

She was a great lady indeed, tying salmonflies in a way that could not be followed by most of us.
She never fished any of them....
