Anyone know of a fly shop that has Airflo or Rio poly sinking leaders in stock? None of the several fly shops whose web pages I look at list them. Maybe Rajeff Sports has them.

You've got lots of good leads here so I won't add to the telephone number list. But I use the ultra fast sink in many applications where a sink tip may/may not be appropriate (read that I don't want to re-sting my bloody rod).

The 'fav.' combination is the RIO mid-spey line with a short run (about 4"-6") of heavy leader material (blank here, but think it's 20# or 25# STIFF material). Put a loop in the end so I can either run a long leader or a short (about 4' of 15# test Max. ultra clear) then the HD Rio sink leader. Down like a rock, fishes well and cast far easier than a conventional sink tip and!! you can change back to a full 'dry' in a matter of a minute or two. "Get in, get out, get going?"

Life is good when you fool around with your stuff and your wife (well .... don't ever get Quicken so she can "financially follow your follies") doesn't get too worked up that you dropped $5 bucks vs. $60+ some for a new line.
