I had an 9/10 Rio accelerator which was much too heavy for the 9140.  First I cut off 17 feet of the tip thereby eliminating the hinge.  I attached a 15 foot Rio 10 weight sink tip.  After some trial and error I shortened the head 14 more feet.  I not have my favorite line.  It loads well and is a pleasure to cast.  The head is now 60 feet and casts much better then a similar wincutter.  Jerry
