I recently discovered that I had gouged about a 15 foot section of my Windcutter 9/10/11 about 20 feet behind the taper. The culprit, a rough spot on the "line guard" of my reel. (a hard way to find that out!!) The gouges, although minor, still leave the line pretty rough and definitely effect shooting distance. Any suggestions to repair this would be great. I have never dealt with anything like this before but I am guessing that some splicing is in order. Just wish I knew the in's and out's about the process.
