Great Ferrule Wax!

If you're having problems with sticking ferrules, or ferrules that are loosening while casting, get in touch with Steve Godshall. He's designed a new Blue Emerald Ferrule Wax that has qualities to handle both of the above situations. Each one is a bit smaller than a silver dollar, so doesn't take up much room. He didn't tell me for how much he's selling them, but I'm sure it's not much, and well worth every penny.

This is cool. My chunk of candle is nearing the end of its road.

All we need is to see if Steve can engrave someone’s name on the container and presto - the perfect gift for fly fishermen who have everything.

I would like to meet a fly fisherman, for that matter one who swings a two-hander, to admit he/she has everything
Never the less, it would make a nice gift
Steve sent me one when he shipped me my new Quantum 10ft 8wt single hand
It works really well !!

I would agree , this is good wax , no more slipping or turning sections , and they seem to come apart good ,

I'm sold on it , I have used just a candle befor , this stuff is better in my opinion

I Googled "Steve Godshall" and got third party websites. Does anyone have his email address?

What, this stuff has it's own container??? Something else to have to open & close & drop on the ground? What's this world coming to? You guys are becoming spoiled.

Maybe not and you have to stamp the owners name on the wax itself. But the jewel-like shape shown above cries out for a nice box IMHO.

Better to drop the container on the ground than the wax.

But I use the ferrule wax made by Loon - the black stuff that is way too soft to stand on its own and comes in an effete little snuff box, or if you will a cosmetics container style box. That stuff works fantastic in spite of getting demerits on my “man card”. Since the price per lifetime of the product is lower that practically anything else we use why not be extravagant?

That is the same stuff I use. I keep them in my truck and in my gear bag, it seems to last forever.

I can count on one hand, & have fingers left over, the number of times per year I have to break a rod down for transport. The two most used, hang on the garage wall, fully rigged, & get bungied to the roof rack of the car for the short hop to the river. I'm still on my first "half puck" of pho pho candle wax.
