Burki 7134 scandi line

Interested in what people have used for scandi lines on this rod.
Thanks.
Mike

Scandi-ish, my favorite is the Nextcast Fall Favorite 45 in a 6/7 weight.

Great line and the one that the guys at Burkie recommended to me when I bought my 7134 several years ago. I am using a Gaelforce now that I like much better, but that is my preference.

Also only scandi-ish due to its extra length, but the Beulah Aerohead 510 is just magnificent on the spec-adjacent 7141 Burkie.

All good recommendations above, but the Gaelforce Equalizer in 8 has been perfect for my stroke and my go-to setup for the last two summer/falls.

This rod with this line is the best casting combination in the two handed world. I've never cast anything else that can hold a candle to it.

RIO Versa Tip Line

Based upon the feed back you guys gave me it looks like 510 grs is the ticket. So here's what I'm looking at. I want to try a RIO Scandi versa Tip with the sinking tips to fish during the times when I need a tip but my Nextcast ZONE F1 is just to much. I have a 400 gr RIO scandi Body. I'm going to use the RIO 15' 8wt tips which weight 110 grs to get to the 510 gr sweet spot, this should work in theory. I have the tips on order so hopefully in the next week or so I can test this combo out. Any bets on how it will work?

Thanks again for your input

FYI- I have the Nextcast FF 45 in a 6/7 and it is super sweet on this rod.

You can always trip the Rio 15' replacement tip if you find it a bit too heavy. Depends on how you like to load your rod. I prefer sub-500 grains on that rod for touch and go casts (singles and snakes).

I was able to cast the Rio scandi versi tip line set up this weekend. The line consists of a Rio 8wt scandi Body, an InTouch 15' replacement Intermediate tip and a 3' leader. At 510 grain it cast easily and with some authority. As expected, it didn't do as well with sustained anchor casts but they did work well enough to be useable if you wanted to. I suspect that with faster sinking tips that they might work better. I really didn't have any preconceived expectations as to how this would go, line did feel a little short and there wasn't a WOW factor but that could also be my casting more than the line. All in all it cast well enough and I think it will fish in situations where my NC Zone may not.
