What is going to replace the Method?

I see a couple of shops have them discounted but can't find out anything about what is going to replace them.

News should leak out soon as the EFFETEX show was held in Europe this past week and Sage was an exhibitor.

I only found one report on Efftex. The sole rod from Sage mentioned was called the Igniter, a photo of which can be seen on this page: More fly-fishing news from the EFTTEX 2018 | Flyfishing Blog

That's probably it. More details will be out soon, I'm sure. If not, IFTD is only a couple of weeks away.

I hope the new sage rod has impregnated double helix gel resin coated nano particles!!

and it better come in some shade of green.

I hope it comes with 2 tips that transforms it from a 11' 4 wt single hander into a 17' ultra fast 12wt comp rod!!

If the price comes in under $2500, Ill probably get 2. Never hurts to have a backup !!

Happy 4th of July!!

Yeah I suppose with their marketing BS this rod will cast another 25' farther and always hit the target no matter who is casting. Hell, I'm 51, after all these years I should be able to cast 716' by now with all their improvements! They have to drive sales somehow... LMAO

Sage is selling off the Method sh ($495) and spey ($595) plus $10 shipping directly from their website. No Method switch rods though.

I see they're not offering Igniter switch rods, at least for now.

So I contacted Sage, and much to my disappointment, they are not bringing back the switch lineup. I've cast a lot of Sage rods, and most are just OK for me...but the 7119 method is hands down the best casting rod, by far, I've ever used. Does anyone know what the most comparable (regardless of manufacturer) switch rod would be that's still available? I personally can't stand the X, but I've only cast the 7130. I'm having anxiety just thinking of breaking that rod and not being able to replace it...

Honestly, if you really love it, I'd buy a backup while they're on sale. That said I have a TCX 8119 switch that is in for repair with a broken section and it's only like 80 bucks or something for Sage to repair it. I'm sure they'll have the magic epoxies for the Methods around for quite a while. So you're likely covered.
