Bruce and Walker Powerlite 7/8/9 - Pure Magic

just got off the river with my new B+W Powerlite, and DAMN that thing is the bomb.

I have owned and/or fished many, many 15 footers going back to the early 90's, and the Powerlite 15 7/8/9 is hands down the best fishing and casting tool I have every had the pleasure to enjoy. And it is a thing of beauty as well. Those Brits have it dialed in. Power? YES!; Lite? YES!

sweet Jesus, this rod has such amazing lifting power, the long belly feels like a shooting head and the line literally sails across the river. effortless distance - or - feel free hit this thing hard for MORE! Was using the FF 70 8/9 and felt spot on. My 4 1/4 Perfect balanced it nicely.

For fun, here is a list of all the 15 footers I have owned (in no particular order) - every one of which MUST BOW DOWN to this 15 foot BEAUTY!!!! The Powerlite is the KING!

Burkheimer 8152
Meiser Highlander Classic S2H 15 7/8/9
Sage 8150 Brownie (Ahhh, the 90's!)
Winston Derek Brown Fave 8/9
Loomis Greased Liner 15 8/9 (Not Pretty, But Delicious)
Sage 9150 Brownie
Sage 9150 Greenie (Tasty Vittles)
90's Loomis GLX 15 foot 10 wt (The Broomstick!!)
T+T 15 foot 3 piece 9/10 (fished extensively, not owned)

MY quest for 15 foot perfection is now complete!!!!

enjoy!

Hey
I think Jumbo nailed it! The B&W 15' 7-9 Powerlite is one of those special rods that really has no peers in it's class. A line lifting specialist 4 long line work & line speed 2 spare with enough custom/bespoke options 2 suit ANY individual taste or wallet. Apply the right technigue (let the rod provide the power!) & B blown away! Been in love w/mine for nearly 6 years & it will always B mine...
