Salmon River, NY - Fall

Anyone going up?
I may be able to schedule work up there, fish Sept 25-27+, back again Oct 16-18+. DSR. 11' switch, 12' scandi, 9' mini-switch.

I'll be up but not on those dates. First trip isn't till the end of October into November. Tear'em up!!

Last Year

Fantastic September. First time tried September. 30-40 fish in DSR on each of the two days there. 1/3 steelhead (one 29") 2/3 kings. All on swung ally's shrimp, #4.
All on 11' 6/7 wt switch. Same in October, but about 15+ per day. Most landed, more on and off.
One hot king went into backing, backing knot broke. line ran upstream. I yelled, someong grabbed it, got it all back.
Really good people all over DSR. None bad. But $50 per day. Ouch.
Plan on early November steelhead trip.
