Newfoundland in August?
I have the opportunity to fish based out of the Tuckamore Lodge. Because of work/baby schedules at home, I think August is the only time I might be able to make it happen. Is this a good time to fish that part of NL?
I was also thinking about hitting the Exploits on the way back to St. John's, but could be convinced to fish just about anywhere that might be a good bet at that time of the season. If you have a suggestion on where to fish, where should I look for outfitters/guides?
My dad would hopefully make the trip with me. He is not a strong wader, so a boat trip would be ideal, at least for some portion of the trip. I know very little about NL, so any advice would be greatly appreciated (especially advice on how to get from one place to another...possible/practical to rent a car?).
Thanks! I know these questions are fairly vague, but I'm just in the planning phases of this...trying to see if the trip is even possible (then into negotiations with the wife!)
