I love the Backroad Mapbooks series, but I dont have this one, so I can't say about the Bulkley specific, but it should be a good start...

As mentioned Backroad Mapbook /Northern BC mapbook, but my favorites are the Forest Recreaton Map Bulkley/Cassiar Forest District and the Morice Forest District for the area mentioned. Donít know if they are still available, but they served me well in the beginning fishing the Bulkley/Skeena area DIY. There is also a Map for the Kispiox Forest District. Now I use them for keeping track of my notes.

+1 to what he said. The other great reference, with the map in front of you, is Google Earth. Majority of the current pic's are really current. (Ug, that sounds like a bad pun). Do the 'Earth' thing and click on the GPS coordinates and mark them down on the map.If you really want to get carried away, do a tilt down/print screen**, number and mark 'number' down on the map.

**Think street view.

Bring your boat. There are some walk in access points but they can be crowded. Oscar's in Smithers has maps and is a good resource http://www.oscarssports.com/fishing.html

Both shops in Smithers have a handout with the popular boat launches etc.
