Looking for a place to stay - Olympic Peninsula

My friend and I are planning a several day winter steelhead fly fishing trip to the Olympic Peninsula early spring 2013 ( March sometime) and we were looking someplace cheap to stay. We were thinking of somewhere around Forks, maybe a small cabin or house.

I know it's pretty early to be looking, but if anyone knows of a place, I'd appreciate the info.

Thanks.

depending on length of stay...forks motel will work with you on price if you offer cash. There is alot of places to camp if ya really wanna budget trip.

There was another motel just as you come into town..its blue and white and older...they were willing to do 12 days for 400 cash...

nuthin left to do but smile, smile, smile!!!

Craiglist will have a bunch of vacation and beach homes on it year round. Some for as low as fifty a person per night for furnished beach houses

Bet this mighty river's both my savior and my sin

Forks area homes

That's a good idea, didn't think of Craigslist. I'll look into it.

Thanks,

Miller Tree Inn

The Miller Tree Inn in Forks is very fisherman friendly. It's a B&B in a large house and the hosts are great folks. Your going to find it's more expensive than the Forks Motel, to be certain, but if your budget stretches give them a shout:

The method doesn't matter to the fish.

Vis a vis B and B's, ask about doing dinner too. Did that in New Zealand and had a great time and you really get a chance to meet the family.

Bcar08,

General guidelines, Bogachiel < 29.0', Hoh < 3,000 cfs, Sol Duc isn't so easy as it doesn't have a USGS gage, and I read that the DOE gage has been taken out of service due to lack of funding.
