Yes to the Methow, but no regarding the Okanogan and Similkameen. The Methow is a medium-small river in the fall, and I use a 5 or 6 wt Spey to cover the water.

Yeah I was thinking of just using my 6 wt switch. Hopefully they stay open and ice free until I can get out that way

Bron,

It is very easy to find out when Washington Fish and Wildlife closes a river to fishing. Simply google WDFW.wa.gov and you will find a link on the web site called "Emergency Rule Changes". Click it and you will find all the recent changes.

I believe it closes this Saturday.

I just looked it up on the WDFW website. The Mthow, Entiat, and Wenatchee al close this Saturday, December 1st at 1 hour after sunset. In other words, they close this Saturday at about 5:00 pm.
