What dates?

I'll be down on the GR in mid-Nov. but in Washington, down near the mouth. If you are in the area, let me know. I can show you a few spots. There's really only a few miles of road access down there, at least on the Ronde, so the runs are pretty obvious. There will probably be people standing in them. Lots of water on the lower GR is only accessible by floating down. And then yeah, there's the Snake and Clearwater, which are mostly roadside.

On the Grande Ronde, the road mostly parallels the river from Wildcat (?) Bridge (10?mi above Troy) downstream to the Enterprise/Lewiston Highway. I've always found more water than I could fish on the Oregon side, so don't know about access, etc. once in Washington. Neither state has any problems with NRAs (sorry, the BC thing sticks in my mind). There are 2-3 meanders away from the road and a handful of posted private land, but otherwise LOTS of roadside fishing. By late November you shouldn't face much crowding. Mid-day, the river is generally low on anglers and fish are willing to bite. Late afternoon it seems to have more human traffic from my meager explorations up there. I'll be headed up late this week if the weather doesn't blow the river out.

Good luck!

My fishing buddy (freecast) and I are trying to time a Minam-Troy float, and are wondering if the flow and fish will come up before the weather gets too bad - If anyone has some insight, would appreciate a post or pm, TIA.
