Bell Irving/Nass Fishing Report?

We're headed that way next week (from way down south in the US) and I was wondering if anyone had a fishing report from that area. It's a long way from here to there, so I'm praying to the fish gods as hard as I can for good conditions. Got absolutely blown out two years ago with rain on the Sustut, so I'm hopeful this is the trip that evens the record.

Thanks in advance. Hound Dog.

The run at the upper BI bridge was fishable when I came through on the 24th but below that was, and I'm told still is, toast.

Doing plan B at moment. Still raining pretty hard. Hopefully it will clear up later in the week. Any updated reports would be appreciated.

Bell Irving

I fished it near the Bell 2 lodge without success on the 22-23 of September. Water conditions were good with an estimated 3 - 4 foot vis. As we travelled further down the BI, water vis grew considerably worse and looked poor in the lower sections of the river.

We caught no fish, however. I heard a rumour it blew out shortly after we left.

Disclaimer: this was my first trip the the BI so I claim no expertise in judging fishing conditions based on the short duration of our time spent on the BI.

Also, a huge THANK YOU to FleshFly. I busted my buddies watermaster oar on the copper. FleshFly, who we just met, lent us his watermaster oars for the balance of our trip.

That kind of generosity is uncommon, but greatly appreciated.

BTW, Fleshfly, check your PM for the oar thing.

Vis was about 18" on the 24th at BIIL, so it must have been going out when I fished it. Also blanked, but pretty sure I had a couple plucks that weren't rocks.

Looked fishable when I went over last night. Its late enough, conditions will stay good. Fresh snow all the way from bell II to whitehorse, winter has come.
