Clearwater report 08/25/12

Anyone have current info on the steelie run on the Clearwater. I have the flows, temps and dam counts, looking for details on the actual fishing above the Stink Hole. Thanks

I haven't made it up yet, hopefully someone will respond that has. Here's what IDF&G has recently reported for catches (none), of course no info on fishing method is included. Have you contacted Poppy?

If you know the river you might catch some fish. If you don't know the river you might catch some fish. If you don't go fish, you won't catch any fish. Seems the only variable you are missing in your data is the only one you can influence. Go fishing. Have fun.

Clearwater run

Apparently there is a warm water blockage around Mcnarny Dam which is inhibiting the upstream movement of the fish. When the weather allows the water to cool the fish will head for the 51 degree water of the Clearwater en mass.

As William mentioned......

Fish have been caught, but if you dont know the river at these levels your chances are greatly reduced. Id focus your efforts from spaulding down.
