63 Newfoundland rivers closed for angling due to water conditions

Warm water temperatures and low water conditions have forced DFO to close rivers for the first time since 2009.
The Main stem of the Humber, Gander and Exploits are open.

See the press release below...

Salmon rivers closed in Zones 3,4,5,13 and 14A

DFO advises anglers that due to extremely low water levels and extremely
high water temperatures, the following rivers are closed effective one
hour after sunset , Wednesday July 11, 2012. Rivers will reopen as
conditions improve.

For more information please visit the DFO website at www.nfl.dfo-mpo.gc.ca
or call the Angling Line at 709-772-4423.
