kenai late sept

We're planning an trip to the kenai in mid to late sept.
We want to target rainbow and steelhead.
Any guide and lodging (cabin is preferred) recommendations would be highly appreciated.

Lodging: How many people? There is a great house on the river in Cooper Landing owned by a DR from Texas. 4 bedroom, 7 ish beds, great kitchen/dining area. If you needed something on the large side I might be able to track down contact info. I found it on Craigslist searching for Cooper Landing rentals quite a few years ago. Perfect for a group of 5+

Guide: Paul Tornow at Alaska's Angling Addiction 720-961-3599 [email protected]
One of my favorite people in Alaska. He was with Troutfitters for quite a few years before striking out on his own. Spey, single hand, or switch. He does it all with a zeal and enjoyment that makes for great days on the river.

Guides - they abound in the area, but have been pleased with Dusty and Billy at Troutfitters, which is also in Cooper Landing. They have the good sense to spend their winters in New Zealand.
Enjoy your trip.

check out Keen Eye Anglers..., 907-227-5308. Kyle is an excellent guide and a very personable fellow. As well, he's a local Moose Pass/Cooper Landing resident who has years of experience guiding on the Kenai. He'll also point you in the right direction for accommodations at that time of year.

see you on the water!
