BIG bright Cockfish! Well done

Interesting river, looks like dry fly water.

Lovely fish.We have been going up to Finmark for a number of years but have only fished the Lakselva a couple of times.I managed to land a12.5 kilo from zone 3.Where did you get your fish?
Next year we aim to give the Lakselva more time as well as fish the Stabburselva and the Reppafiordelva where we usually fish.
Great rivers to fish ,not huge amounts of fish early on when we go (late June)but the chance of a real big one.

Several Questions Please...

Great pic!

I checked site:
http://fishing-norway.com/index.php?side=Rusltat&idv=27
(Some info from 2009 and current) Is that the best one?

Did you buy your days on line or direct from a pool owner?

Is it a rod share set-up or how many rods on a beat?

Did you go with a guide?

Have never fished Norway but it sure is on my list.

mange takk...Taft

I was fishing with Bergen active lodge on the Lakselv did not have guide but I got some pointers they have some privat water on the river and some beats have other anglers fishing th other bank

you can fish the public water for 700 kr a day worth evry penny

the nort coast of Norway have some top water and is still not crazy expensive

Lakselva salmon

There is a website that will give you availability on the river. Most go for zone 2 but those tickets go quick when they come out before the season starts.
There is plenty of fishing in the Finmark area. Most of the rivers are zoned and you enter a draw for the best beats. If you dont come out in the draw there is always plenty of other fishing but you have to share with the rest of the unsuccessful anglers.Plenty of room though especially if you go into night mode (24 hours of daylight).
