North Umpqua?

Are the early fish starting to show in any significant numbers on the N. Umpqua? How about the flows? Are they starting to come down?

I'm headed up that way a week from today and plan to fish the following week. Just wondering if anyone's had any success or heard of any.

Still a bit early, but your best bet would be in the camp water above Steamboat Inn. Water levels are coming down. Some fish have been found though, and I would suggest dry flies as a searcher as the early fish can be aggressive and at least show themselves...then followed with a sparsely tied wet usually works for me.
Remember, no weighted flies now. Have fun!

Weighted flies are actually allowed until the end of the month......
