To be held at the Upper Oxbow Adventures: Spey Casting Classes, Seminars and Demos, July 2012

Atlantic Salmon Spey Fishing and casting demos, lessons and schools for 2012are available at the Upper Oxbow Outdoor Adventures located on the Banks of the Little Southwest Miramichi. Adventures steeped in tradition await you at here. Situated on the family homestead, we took up residence on the banks of the Little Southwest Miramichi in 1823 where we have been stewards of the river for five generations.
For many generations, single handed fly fishers are seen casting flies for these magnificent game fish.
With the popularity of two-handed spey and scandi casting entering the water ways of the United States and Canada we are pleased to announce that Walt Geryk, Hardy, Greys and Airflo Pro Staff, will be offering demos, seminars and lessons on two-handed casting and fishing techniques. He will also be available to help answer any of your questions during your stay with us.
Walt, owner of Northeast Fly & spey Fishing Services, is highly respected throughout the Northeast for his guiding and spey schools. His passion towards the sport and outdoors may be 2nd to none when it comes to conservation while promoting catch and release only for all his guided trips. Waltís schools and classes are detailed with a strong emphasis on teaching the how, why and when to while coaching his students understand their faults and how to self-correct.
We have invited Walt to join us in the MIRAMICHI SALMON CLASSIC 2012, tentatively set to start on Sunday, July 8th and wrap up at noon on July 11th. Walt will also be available for additional demos, seminars and casting classes through most of July for those who would like to take advantage of his willingness to share his knowledge and try his vast arsenal of two-handed rods. There is no need to have or bring equipment for these daily events; Walt will supply all the Hardy and Greys spey equipment and Airflo lines. Need help in trying to figure out your equipment, bring it along and have Walt help you balance everything out from rod and reel balance to having the proper lines running thru the guides and much more needed to use your equipment efficiently and effectively.
This is a great time to visit Oxbow Outdoor Adventures, cast your fly for Atlantic Salmon right in front of the main lodge, then during your mid-afternoon break see the advantages that spey casting and fishing offers.
