Long Beach Washington

I will be spending the next few days in the Long Beach area. If someone could point me in the right direction to swing a few flies it would be greatly appreciated. I don't mind driving 2-3 hours each way to fish somewhere that isn't still in major runoff like my locals.

Cheers
Tom

The Elocoman is the closest river to you with summer runs, that is, if they are still stocking them in there. It's a small stream, but has been stocked with hatchery summer runs for a couple decades. However, with all the ESA listings, management on that river has changed, including closure of one of the hatcheries.

Go West...

West by Southwest, that is. Oregon has a few summer run options on the coast. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out, or pm me. The sporting goods store in Long Beach should be a good resource.

Thanks for the replies. I am back home now. Snuck out one day and poked around the Elochoman a bit. Didn't string a rod though. The river was quite low and showing her bones. Found a few of the deeper holding pools, but didn't want to bother.
