Gaspe Gnuz

Fishing in all Gaspe rivers has turned out to be excellent after the very high waters in early June .Fish were already up in the York's zone 10 as of June 12th ! Parr were VERY evident on Monday and Tuesday and it was a great pleasure to see a couple of tiny this yr's. Parr up on Vicaire on Zone 10 !! A few pools ,Petit Saumon, Wayne Taylor have changed for the better even if the "beach" at Petit S. has all but disappeared . About $1.5 million dollars worth of damage has been done due to the 2 floods we had down there and that's just ONE ZEC ! It was my best trip in yr's to the York. However I had to leave and get up to Quebec's Northshore and fishing proved to be even better ! Sunday I didn't fish in the AM as the Secor I drew was a bit dangerous to get to . Started fishing around 1 PM and was back at the motel at 6:45 with 2 salmon C&R'd
All other Gaspe rivers are showing strong results !

Don't sweat the bad casts for they sometimes bring you fish

Great update Brian. Glad to hear it's so productive!

I remember the photos you posted of the flooding late last fall. It looked pretty bad. Some of those covered bridges took a beating.

tight lines,
