North Pacific Spey - Darren Bisson?

Has anyone on here had a trip with North Pacific Spey out of the Terrace area? The owner's name is Darren Bisson. The website looks good, but I have been fooled before and am hoping someone here has fished with Darren and can provide some info.

Thanks,

Jim

I can't understand why some folks think a drink can is harder to carry out when it is empty than it was to carry in when it was full.

I’ll vouch for Darren. A group of buddies(6 total) and I fished with his outfit back in the fall of 2016. The last of September first of October. He had us all staying at Yellow Cedar Lodge which were great accommodations and the food was really good. Breakfast, packed lunch, and dinner daily. He and his crew would meet us at the lodge around 6:00a and take us out to tribs of the Nass River. At that time we were there, most of the fish were already through the Skeena and heading up the tribs, mpst pf which were blown out as it stormed prior to our arrival. So, we didn’t fish around Terrace at all. He had two other guides working with him so we would split into groups of 2 each morning and head out to our beets, We mostly walked and waded but, we floated a couple of days too, basically just taxiing between swing spots… I can tell you we caught fish every day and some of them were steel. For me personally I got 4 steelies to hand but, also got into a few Coho and a bunch of Bull Trout one day. I think that two others in our group landed 6 or 7 mtetalheads each and the other two about the same as I. We only ran into one other person the 7 days that we fished. We were out in the middle of nowhere and I loved it!

Lastly, I don’t think he is utilizing YCL any longer and i think he is hosting his guests at another location. I’d say that he worked hard and he does get you into fish. I know he also has a jet sled and will use that when necessary. Bottom line, I will fish with him again.

If you want to PM me I can give you a few more details
