Anyone from Anchorage/Kenai area?

Me and a buddy are planning a 7 day trip around the first week of July to Anchorage/Kenai. Anyone know that area and have any tips or good locations?

Any help is much appreciated, it will be my first time to Alaska.

ďPreserving, protecting, and restoring our waters are tasks for many lifetimes, and sometimes the effort can seem overwhelming. But as long as we stay connected with all of the many, many blessings that water provides, and continue to keep that love in the forefront of our minds and hearts, as long as we remind ourselves to hope, then our stories will help connect others to water and encourage them to do what they can to help care for this beautiful Blue Marble world.Ē

Iím not from there, but I do spend a fair bit of time fishing there. Your questions are a bit broad, it might help to narrow things a bit by specifying what your priorities are. What kinds of fish are your priorities, are you looking to swing flies with two handed rods, fishing single hand rods, etc. How comfortable are you with crowds? Sent you a PM.

You are welcome to contact me whenever you find this reply. I've been living here going on 16 years now and also operated my own outfitter business for 2 hand casters. I don't fish down the Peninsula often but can provide decent local insight to you.

Eastside and eriefisher like this.
